ABOUT MARTY

Marty Widergren is an accomplished executive with over two decades of experience in the mortgage industry.  Currently serving as Senior Vice President, Marty is responsible for the sales strategies, objectives and key results that will lead to explosive growth for our sales organization.  Marty is a results-driven leader renowned for his prowess in establishing and nurturing mid to large-scale sales organizations to peak performance.  His leadership style is deeply rooted in servant leadership principles, positively impacting the lives of countless individuals by leading with empathy, fostering a culture of growth, and unleashing the untapped potential within each team member.  Marty attributes his success to his resolute belief in identifying the innate strengths of individuals and providing unwavering support to help them realize their highest potential.

Before his tenure with Valor Home Loans, Marty spent an impressive 20 years with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where he wore various hats, including loan originator, branch manager, Vice President, and, most recently, Senior Vice President of Retail Production for the Southwest Division.   In this capacity, he oversaw a sales organization of more than 850 employees, further honing his expertise in driving operational excellence, customer service, talent acquisition, program/product development and transformational leadership.

Outside of his professional life, Marty enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife Julie, and their daughters, Regan and Peyton.  As a passionate advocate of family time, Marty and his family are avid enthusiasts of winter sports enjoying much of their time together on the ski slopes in Lake Tahoe.

Marty grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, resides in Marin County, CA and holds a bachelor’s degree from Sacramento State University.
